City with a soul : Montreal !

Miami'den sonra Montreal fikri ilk baslarda enteresan gelse de, Montreal'e geldikten sonra butun dusuncelerim degisti. Her ne kadar Amerikan mi Ingiliz mi Fransiz mi diye kestiremesekte  Montreal dunyada hala ruhu olan sehirler arasindaydi benim icin.  Ve ben ruhu olan sehirleri kesfetmederken aldigim zevki ne yazarak ne de fotograflayarak anltabilirim. Yine de gecirdigim bu 3 guzel gunu yaz tam kapimiza dayanip soguklari unutmadan, fotograflarla sizlere ozetlemek isterim. Umarim zevk alirsiniz sizler de !


Even though at the beginning it was strange to think about going to Montreal after Miami, I totally changed my mind after I arrived Monteral. Although you can not feel where exactly you are;  in US, England or France , for me Montreal was one of the city have soul in this world. And I can not give the feeling towards you neither by photographing or writing while I'm discovering the cities with soul but still before summer comes up and forgetting cold weathers, I wanted to summarize those 3 wonderful days to you. Hope you all enjoy !

Old Montreal

Duvarlar, duvarlar, duvarlar ! Fotograflara baktigimda farkettim okadar cok duvar ve bina fotografi cekmisim ki ! Ama bakin ve gorun bu her bir sanat eserini fotograflamadan gecmek mumkun mu ?

Walls, walls, walls ! While I was looking at photos, I realized all photos I took were consist of wall paintings and the buildings. But tell me is it possible seeing this beauties and passing by not photographing?

Benim gibi hamur canavariysaniz ve bagel a  tapiyorsaniz, Montreal'in en meshur bagel cafesi Fairmount'a ugramadan gitmeyeceksiniz ozellikle bogurtlenli olanindan almadan cikmayin !

If you are bagel maniac like me, don't say I'm eating bagel before taste this famous bagel cafe called Fairmount !

Buvette Chez Simone da ise hayatimizda gordugumuz, tattigimiz en lezzetli tavugu yedik !

In Buvette Chez Simone we had chance to taste the most delicious chicken that we ever had !

Habitat 67 ( oraya varis hikayemiz ise ayri bir hikaye; kisacasi biz butun Montreal'i yuruduk )

Ruzgara karsi 30 km Kanal boyunca pedal cevirerek hayatimin en uzun ve en eglenceli bisiklet macerasini asla ve asla unutmayacagim ! 

I'll never forget the longest and funniest bicycle adventure; 30 km against wind !

 

Bir diger unutmayacagim sey ise beni icerisiyle ayri ve disarisindaki Einstein ve Simone de Beauvoir duvar resimleriyle apayri etkileyen bu kitapcidir.

Another thing I' ll never forget is this book store. It impressed me both inside and outside with paintings of the Enstein and Simone de Beauvoir.

 

Le Cartet' te Mimosa esligindeki kahvalti muhtesem otesiydi ! Menuyu ve restoran icerigine bakmak isterseniz iste size LINK !

My Mind is Still in Miami

Evet aklim hala o gunesli, tembel gunlerde. Bazen hayat hep tatillerden ibaret olsa yine de skilir miydim acaba diye gecirmiyor degilim icimden. Daha elimde yayinlanicak okadar fotograf var ki... Mesela sizlere daha Montreal'i anlatmak gerek ama biliyorum ki hepiniz yazi ozlediniz ve kis fotograflari artik icinizi fazla acmiyor bende bu yuzden surekli erteliyorum sanirim. Ama yinede Montreal den bahsetmeden gecemeyecegim. Ozaman bekleyelim ve gorelim !


Yeap my mind is still in those sunny, lazy days on South Beach. Sometimes I wonder if I would still get bored when everyday of life would be a holiday. I still have lots of photos to make new posts... For example I need to talk about Montreal but I know all you missed summer so much that you don't feel like to see winter photos. But still I can't stop myself to talk about it. So lets see what will happen !

A Tourist in New York City

Whenever spring comes to New York I can't stand the suggestion of the land that come blowing over the river from New Jersey and I've got to go. So I went. Jack Kerouac

Bahar gelince eminim ki dunyanin her yeri cok guzel oluyor. Ama ben suanda dunyanin en guzel sehirlerinden birindeyim ve sizi de New York baharina davet ediyorum. Butun bir haftasonumuzu sanki New York'ta nasil turist olunur baslikli bir makale hazirliyormusuz gibi gecirdik. Buraya gelmemin uzerinden 9 ay gecti ve ben ozgurluk anitina yeni gitim, New York'a Empire State'in tepesinden ilk defa baktim... Belki de dunyanin hic bir ulkesinde turist olmayi kabullenememizdendir butun bunlar...


I'm sure when spring comes everywhere in the world turn out to be heaven. But I'm one of the most beautiful cities in the world and I'm inviting you to NYC spring. We spent all our weekend as if we are writing and article "how to be a tourist in NYC." After spent 9 months in New York, I've just seen Statue of Liberty, I've just been top of the Empire State and look at the city from top... Maybe it's because we don't accept being a tourist wherever we go in the world...

Central Park'ta bir cennet parcasi

MET'teki sergi muhtesemdi ve ozellikle NY'a geldiginizde MET'in Islamic Art bolumunde yeni acilan the art of arab lands galerilerini gezmenizi tavsiye ederim. Her ne kadar Turkiye bolumunde sadece Koc Muzesinden alinan eserleri gormek biraz icimi burksa da MET gibi dunyanin en onemli muzelerinden birinde kendimden bir parca gormek gercekten guzeldi. 

Ve aslinda bu fotograflardan sonra NY benim gozumde yer-gok diye ikiye ayrildi. Yukaridan asagiya bakmak aslinda nasil bi yerde oldugumu bana bir kez daha hatirlatti.

After these photos I separated NY as ground and sky. Looking from top to bottom made me realize in what kind of place I'm living.
