Paris Diary

As I've lived in Paris, I realized that there are many things I love to do in this city. For now, I'll just share couple of them. But I'm afraid if my blog turn out to be a Paris city guide in the following days, months and years :)

Sometimes I love being a tourist in this city

I love looking at Paris from top of the cafés, historical buildings but Eiffel (this one is from the top of Galeries Lafayette )

I like to "goûter" time with my friends

But you don't have to stop by café to have dessert. You can grab one of those hyper delicious cakes of Grande Epicerie.

Le Marais is where I love to lose myself while looking at windows of different kind of boutiques.

To catch sunset, end the day and to have a picnic with our friends for me the best place somewhere at the bank of Seine River.

Bonjour Monsieur Matisse !

Nice ' i bir de Henri Matisse'in gozunden gormek ister misiniz ? Ahh keske en azindan "Nature Morte aux Grenades" i alip salonumun bas kosesine asabilseydim.

Do you want to see Nice from the eyes of Henri Matisse ? The name of the event is "Un Été Pour Matisse". In the streets and avenues where you wander around to see Matisse works displayed in museums, theatres and galeries located in eight different points of the city, you also complete a wonderful sightseeing without even realizing, if you are, like us, one of those who depend on their feet to travel... "Bonjour Monsieur Matisse" was just one of the exhibitions held in Museum of Modern Arts. I do not want to go into detail as the activity ended in September; the one that fascinated me most was the exhibition titled "Palm Trees, Palm Leaves and Palmette". All people around me are familiar with my love for palm trees; thus my pleasure was doubled because Matisse touched her magical fingers on it and it was held in Nice where palm trees are abundant. I wish I could take photos of all exhibitions but you know rules are above everything. Oh God, I wish I could take "Nature Morte aux Grenades" and place it on the seat of honor in my living room...

While we're traveling staying away from touristic shops ( let's say almost everything touristic ) is one of the best thing we do in general. Magnets ? They are just one of those objects that it's impossible to find in our home. But this book is one of the best souvenir that we had.  Already placed the best place, on the table in living room...
