San Sebastian

Her ne kadar su anda Toskana'nin tadini cikartiyor olsam da daha yayinlanmamis postlarim var benim simdi sirayi onlara verip Italya postlarinin gelmesini bekleyelim :)) 
Bask Bolgesi'nin hep Fransiz sehirlerinden bahsettim ama Ispanya tarafina sira gelmedi bir turlu. Birkac hafta once arkadaslarimizla birlikte kisa bir coast road trip yaptik ama fotograflarda hic outfit olmadigi ve nasil olsa cok yakin oldugundan birdaha giderim ve gittigimde de fotograf cekmeye vaktim olur diye beklettim biraz. Simdi onlari sizlerle paylasma zamani. Ama fotograflara gecmeden once San Sebastian'a nasil asik oldugumu ve nasil da biranda en sevdigim Ispanya sehri haline geldiginden bahsemek istiyorum. Bir onceki postta Biarritz'den bahsetmistim ve sanirim Fransa ve Ispanya bu konuda kapisir. Her ne kadar Biarritz mimarisiyle insani buyulesede hep gotik havasindan dolayi San Sebastian'in yerini asla alamayacak. Tren istasyonundan sehre ani bir dalis yapip merkeze dogru indiginizde hele birde eski San Sebastian'a dogru giris yaptiginizda biranda Barselona'nin dar sokaklarinda yuruyormus hissine kapildiginiz dogrudur. Fakat Barselona'dan tek farki daha kucuk ve sirin bir atmosfere sahip olmasi. Neyse daha fazla konusmayacagim ve sizi kucuk bir tura davet edecegim. Eglenmeniz ve takipte kalmaniz dilegi ile !

I always talked about French Basque cities but I didn't tell anything about Spanish coasts. Couple weeks ago we had a coast rod trip with our friends but I didn't publish the pics until I make one outfit post in San Sebastian. But now everything is ready and time to share. But before the pics I wanna talk about how I fall in love San Sebastian and how it become one of my top city. The previous post was about Biarritz and I'm sure French and Spanish can compete about two cities. Even though Biarritz have a wonderful architecture, because of its gothic atmosphere it will never be as cute and warm as San Sebastian. When you make a fast entrance to the city from train station you will understand what I want to tell. Especially when you are walking around the narrow streets of the old city, it is impossible not to feel yourself as if you are in Barcelona. Only difference it is much more smaller than Barcelona. That's one of the reason I love ; it is a real, cute, small city. Anyway it's enough talking and I invite you a little tour around Spanish Basque cities. Wish you all enjoy and stay tuned ! 

Ilk turumuz Bilbao daha once gelip hayran kaldigim Bilbao'ya bu kez sadece Guggenheim'daki David Hockney sergisi icin gidiyoruz ve muzenin mimarisinden bir kez daha etkileniyoruz. 

First stop is Bilbao; I've been before here and loved a lot but this time we just stop to visit the exhibition of David Hockney in Guggenheim and one more time magnificent architecture is impressing us. 

Biraz Bilbao'yu gezdikten, bikac bisey atistirdiktan sonra yolculugumuza biraz ara verip Lekeitio denen cennette yuzme molasi veriyoruz. Tabi arada okadar guzel koylerden ve kasabalardan geciyoruz ki fotograf cekmeyi unutup manzaraya daliyoruz. Neyse ki Lekeitio da fotograf cekmeye vakit buldum.

After spend couple of hours in Bilbao we had a swimming break in heaven called Lekeitio. By the way we passed through such a wonderful places, towns and villages that the view made us forget everything included taking pics as well.

Another reason why I love San Sebastian is eating your tapas bought from the tapas bar just in the corner and drink your beverage stairs of the church, chatting with your friends and at the same time looking around...

Hava durumu her insanın en çaresiz kaldığında, konuşacak bir şey bulamadığında yada konuyu değiştirip, yeni bir konuya girmek istediğinde şüphesiz aklına gelen ilk başlıklardan biridir. Biz bloggerlar gibi... Ama öyle önemsiz göründüğüne bakmayın bu hava durumu denen şeyin aslında hayatımızın öyle orta yerindedir ki güneşi görüp hayata döneriz, bulutlar ise bir günümüzü cehennem edecek kadar güçlüdürler. Her neyse işte havalar soğurken sadece bir kere Barselona postu yapabildiğim ama binlerce kez giydiğim bu kazağımı son bir kez daha giyip bu güneşli günün tadını çıkartmak istedim. Hepimize bol güneşli bir hafta diliyorum !

Weather conditions is one of the first topic come to our minds the time that we couldn't find anything to talk or sometimes we want to change the topic. Bloggers like us... But we definitely shouldn't ignore its effects. It's so middle of our lives that while sun makes us cheerfull, clouds are enought to make that day hell. Anyway, while it's getting colder and colder, I wanted to enjoy last days of sunny weather and make a post with this top worn thousand of times but posted just one time while I was in Barcelona. Petit Bateau and Carven Collaboration

Basic parçalarla şık olabilirim diyenlerden misiniz ? "Basic" kelimesi artık hayat felsefeniz mi oldu? O zaman size harika bir işbirliğinden söz edeceğim. Biliyorum bu aralar blogsphere Maison Martin Margiela for H&M postlarıyla doldu taşıyor ama dikkatleri biraz olsun diğer iki fransız markasının yaptığı bu harika çalışmaya çevirmek istedim. Petit Bateau genelde çok basic parçalar üreten, aslında da daha çok çocuklar için tercih edilen marine temalı şirin mi şirin bir marka. Fazla renkli olmayan bu basic temalı  marka, dişiliği ön plana çıkartan sıradışı elbiselerine bayıldığım Carven ile birleşirse ne olur ? Haydi hep beraber görelim beyaz yakanın, little black dress üzerindeki kusursuz duruşuna hepimiz şahit olalım. 

Are you one of them saying "I can be glamourus with basic clothes" ? or The word " basic" is the philosophy of your life ? Then, I'm gonna talk about a wonderful collaboration. I know these days everybody busy with Maison Martin Margiela for H&M and blogsphere already filled with lots of posts about them. Nevermind. My aim is to take the attention these two other french brands. Petit Bateau, a brand produces basic stuffs, tshirts or shirts and it's generally prefered for children so what happens if that kind of brand gets together with Carven which have extraordinary and amazing feminin dresses and objects ? Let's see all together how white collar suits to a little black dress just perfectly.

İstanbul Diaries

Pazartesine  güzel mi güzel bir İstanbul günüyle başlamak istedim. Kahvaltılar benim için aileyle ve bir de boğaza karşı yapılanlar olmak üzere ikiye ayrılır. Bu iki kahvaltının buluştuğu nokta ise bu ortamların hoş muhabbete ne kadar elverişli olduğudur. İşte Perili Köşkte yapılan kahvaltı da yine o unutulmayacak hoş muhabbetin ve aşkın olduğu kahvaltılardan biriydi. Hep gördüğüm yanından geçerken hayran hayran baktığım bu güzel köşkü de ziyaret ettik. İlk kez gittiğim Borusan Contemporary , terasından İstanbul'a bakarken sanki bütün dünya ayaklarımın altındaymış gibi hissettiren mükemmel mekan... Utanarak söylüyorum ilk ziyaret edişimdi ama devamı kesinlikle gelecek. Hepinize sanat ve huzur dolu bir hafta diliyorum ! 

I wanted to start with beautiful İstanbul day to this post. I devide breakfasts into two; one is the ones with my family and the others that I have on the view of Bosphorus. Their mutual characteristic is how atmosphere is so suitable for nice affection while having these breakfasts. So here is one of them in Perili Köşk with love and affection. Also we had a chance to visit this beautiful place. Going for the first time, Borusan Contemporary was amazing. While I was looking at İstanbul at the terrace, I felt like all the world is under my feet. I'm so ashamed it was the first time but not the last time. I wish you all peaceful week !

Istanbul Design Biennial

Sevdiğim bir yere veya şehre her gidişimde gitmeden önce mutlaka yapılacaklar listesi oluştururum. Nerde ne var, yeni açılan mekanlar, nerede ne yer ne içerim gibisinden bir sürü başlık... Rezervasyonlar yapılır, ajandalara yazılır çizilir... İstanbul da bu süreçten nasibini fazlasıyla aldı tabi ki. Bir günümüzün yarıdan fazlasını tamamen çok merak ettiğim bienale ve etkinlik kapsamında düzenlenen design walk a ayırdık. Sabahtan düştük Fener ve Balat yollarına. İstanbul yine sürprizler hazırlamıştı bana ve her seferinde beni şaşırtmayı en güzel şekilde başarıyordu. Bu zamana kadar bir türlü gitmeye fırsat bulamadığım Fener Rum Lisesi hem iç hem de dış mimarisiyle şüphesiz İstanbul'un en önemli mimari eserleri arasında olmayı hak ediyor. Bienal ise çarpık kentleşmeden, tüketim çılgınlığından tutun da modaya kadar uzanan geniş kapsamlı eserlere ev sahipliği yapıyor. Vaktiniz varsa bu etkinliği kaçırmamanızı öneririm. Anlayacağınız  İstanbul yapmıstı yapacağını ve beni bir kez daha kendisine aşık etmeyi başardı.

Before I travel to the places I love or cities, I always make a to do list. Recent restaurants, where we can eat or drink, where we can visit and so on... Making reservations, keeping agenda... So, of couse İstanbul was one of them. We spent almost all day, till the evening, for the Biennial and the design walks around conducted by İKSV. So we went on our way to Fener and Balat early in the morning. It is started from Has Museum and ended around Fener. Again İstanbul was waiting for me with her surprises and manage to do it really well each time. Fener Greek High School was one of the places that I always wished to visit but couldn't. But this time I was so lucky that I was able to see its both inside and outside of this magnificent architecture  and without a doubt it deserves to be the one of the most imressive building of İstanbul. Then Biennial has a wide content emphasis on irregular urbanization and over consumption to the fashion... If you have time, you should definitely go and visit.

It's Friday !

Bayram boyunca bir turlu yayinlayamadigim fotograflarimi yayinlama zamanidir simdi. Yogun  bir yolculuk ve valiz toprlayip yerlestirme maratonundan sonra ilk kez bilgisayarimi elime alabiliyorum. Ayrica bu haftasonunun cok farkli bir onemi var cunku sevgilimle gecirecegim 3 guzel Istanbul gunu beni bekliyor. Gormek istedigim okadar cok sevdigim insan var ki, ama bir yandan da 1 aydir gormedigim sevgilim... Nasil yaparim bu yogun programa nasil onlari da dahil ederim bilmiyorum. Simdiden bir gunumuzu cok istedigim tasarim bienaline ve etkinliklerine ayirdik. Eger kimseyi arayamazsam da herkesin simdiden beni affetmesini istiyorum bir kac hafta sonra tekrar gelecegim ve bu kez bir gunumu gormek istedigim herkese ayiracagim. Yine de yetmeyecek ama bakacagiz artik.... Neyse kacmam lazim bienal beni bekliyor, cok heyecanliyim.

Yes, now it's time to share pics I couldn't during holiday. After a busy luggage and vacation marathon , this is the first time I use my computer literally. Also, this weekend have a special importance because there are 3 wonderful days in Istanbul I'm gonna spend with my boyfriend. I have so many friends I want to see that I don't know how I'm gonna schedule everything. Bun on the other side I have just 3 days with my boyfriend that I haven't seen him for a month... We already filled today with design biennial and its events. So, if I cannot call or let anybody, please forgive me from now on. But good news is I'm going to be here after next couple of weeks so I'll leave one day to my dear friends that I want to see sooo much. I know it won't be enough but we'll see. Ok biennial is waiting for me so excited ! Have a wonderful weekend to all <3
